JULIA RAYNAL

Julia discovered classical and contemporary dance and the circus arts from an early age, before joining the Saint Etienne regional dance conservatory. She continued her higher education in Lyon, then Cannes and Montpellier. From the age of 20, she worked in the contemporary dance company Dibritto in Cannes and for event services for Mademoiselle Paillette and La Mus'en Scène.

In 2013, she joined the junior company Le Marchepied in Lausanne, directed by Nicholas Pettit and Corinne Rochet. She works with the choreographers involved, Jessica Huber, Mickaël Henrotay-Delaunay, Fabienne Berger, Katarzyna Gdaniec and Marco Cantalupo.

During her career in Switzerland, she worked with the Willi Dorner company, the Utilité Publique company and then Öff Öff Aerial Dance Productions.

This is how she reconnected with the circus arts and discovered aerial dance.

Back in France, she develops her research between aerial dances and contemporary dance. She trained in vertical dance mainly with Wanda Moretti in Italy.

Since then, she has worked as a performer for several dance companies in public space and aerial dance, including Les Imponderables, choreographer Rachel Martin and Farandole, choreographer Emmanuel Borgo.

She also participates in the choreographic creation of Compagnie Faï's 'L'Astrolabe', a contemporary dance and aerial dance show, and creates her own aerial dance solo performances.
