Burlesque tale on cycle

Born from the meeting of a clown (Grégory Escolin), a cheerful percussionist (Michel Visse) and an illustrator (Galadrielle Levieux), this project focuses on the illustrated tale, the Kamishibaï. The aim is to offer a real live show for all audiences, young and old.

Two slightly crazy postmen on their rickety bicycle tell a few fables in a gentle, whimsical madness.

For these two friends, the wheel has turned and they have become story peddlers.
In the manner of the old town criers, our two slightly clumsy men harangue the crowd and present illustrated stories in a mobile castelet. The audience actively participates by bringing the show and the stories to life.

The tales are seasoned by the lives of our two postmen, as well as by their complicity and their touching clumsiness which often catches up with them and triggers laughter.

Kamishibai literally means "paper theatre".

Kamishibai is a tradition of street storytelling that originated in Japan around 1920.
A wooden case, called a butai, is used as a support for the illustration boards that the narrator scrolls through as the story is read. The street artist goes from village to village, the butai installed on the luggage rack of his bicycle. He sells sweets to earn a living while telling stories.
